Who has time to cook anymore?
Welcome to my blog "Cooking for Busy Business Owners". I am a business owner myself (a couple actually) and found that meals were getting too unbalanced and unhealthy as life became busier. Everyone is busy in today's world so this applies to people working long hours, parents taking care of families and combinations of all this as well. I read recently that weight loss and healthily weight management may come more from your diet and that exercise was secondary. They did not dismiss exercise because it is so important to keep healthy physically and mentally but the emphasis was that diet plays a bigger part than what is usually believed. I thought about what I could do to improve my eating and my family's. The thing that kept coming back was that we needed to eat more fresh cooked meals that I could control the ingredients, go restaurants less and order takeout less often too.
So I was inspired to find easy, quick dishes that my wife and I could fit into our schedules. The following posts will feature dishes and recipes and ideas we incorporated into our daily lives to improve what we consumed. As an unofficial disclaimer I want to point out that we are not doctors, nutritionists, dietitians or chefs. I am only sharing what worked for us and please talk to a medical professional if you are unsure or have health issues.
